He definitely sounds like he’s out on bail, that’s for sure. The West Coast groove in the instrumental is so strong, it had me two stepping in my seat. YG’s pen game throughout his career may not be the most intricate or the sharpest in terms of vernacular. We can also agree that he’s not the most consistent rapper out right now. But his storytelling chops are very underrated compared to his contemporaries, and when he drops a banger, he drops a banger. This is a banger.
