CupcakKe – Elephant

God, the bars. Just all of the bars. Please do yourself a favor, and stop sleeping on CupcakKe’s music.  Whenever hip hop heads and fans discuss who the best female rappers currently are, The Chicago MC’s name is almost never mentioned, and I cannot understand why.  Meanwhile, she’s casually dropping some of the hardest rap songs I’ve been hearing this year, regardless of gender.  Almost every bar on this song required a rewind for me.  Seriously, consider asking yourself who in the mainstream hip hop landscape has a better pen game than her with bars like these:

1.     The Draco puttin’ holes in ‘em, man it looks like I’m spelling OVO

2.     My makeup on beat, I bet Blueface can’t relate

3.     It’s Rosa Parks on a nigga’s face, I ain’t gettin’ up from this seat

These are like Pusha T level bars (if I had to compare her to a male rapper).  Her flow is so relentless and way more controlled than some of the mainstream rap industry’s biggest stars.  Forget the “best female rapper” conversation.  CupcakKe is one of the best rappers out right now, and this year she’s making some of her best songs yet.
